Decent experience, minor hiccups

I ordered Linux Shared Hosting and a .IN Domain from BigRock recently. The ordering process itself was pretty standard on their website, no real issues there. Activation of the hosting was quick, within an hour or so, which was good. The domain also registered fine. I did have a question about setting up email and used their chat support; it took a little longer than I expected to get a response, maybe 15 minutes, but the agent was helpful once they connected. The site performance has been solid for the price, no major complaints there. Delivery isn't really a thing for these services, but everything was accessible instantly once set up. Overall, it's a solid platform for small businesses.

Good value for hosting

I needed Shared Hosting and was looking for the best deal. BigRock had a pretty good offer, I think it was around 40% off for the first year. It made the decision easy. The setup was quick, and it felt like I got good value for what I paid. Happy with the saving.

Consistent service, easy renewal

I've used BigRock for a few years now for my .COM Domains and this last renewal was as smooth as ever. The process was straightforward, just like my previous purchases. It's nice knowing I can count on them for this, always a reliable experience.

Trying to get a discount on my domain renewal, but all the promo codes I find seem to be for new customers. Any luck finding renewal coupons?

T Troy Patel 2 months ago
Renewal coupons are super rare, honestly. Usually, the big discounts are just for first-time purchases. Sometimes they send out targeted emails, but it's not common.

Yeah, pretty much what the other person said. Best bet is to keep an eye on your email from them or check during big sales like Black Friday, but even then, renewals are tough to get a deal on.

Anyone used BigRock for WordPress hosting? How does it compare to Bluehost for a small business site?

P Paula 2 months ago
I've used both. BigRock's WordPress hosting is pretty decent, especially for the price. Support can be a bit slower than Bluehost sometimes, but for basic sites, it's a good budget option. Performance was comparable for me.

Bluehost feels a bit more polished, but BigRock is totally fine. If you're looking to save some cash and your traffic isn't crazy high, BigRock is a solid choice.

do they take PayPal for payments? Or is it just credit cards and stuff?

C Colin 1 month ago
I think they do take PayPal now, or at least they did the last time I checked. I usually use my card though, which always works.

Nah, pretty sure they support a bunch of Indian payment methods too, like net banking and UPI, along with cards. Not sure about international PayPal directly, but you can usually find a way.

Hey, thinking of grabbing one of those super cheap domains for like 1 rupee. Is that legit or just a bait and switch for renewals?

R Rosa S. 1 month ago
Yeah, it's legit for the first year, I got a .in domain for that price. But definitely check the renewal cost, it jumps up a lot after year one.

Can confirm, they do run those 1 rupee deals. Just make sure to read the fine print on the specific domain extension and if it's for new registrations only.

What's the deal with their money-back guarantee? Is it a hassle to actually get a refund if I'm not happy with the hosting?

D Dana V. 2 months ago
I actually used it once for shared hosting I decided I didn't need. It wasn't instant, but I got my money back within a week or so after I followed their steps. No major drama.

They do have one, but check the terms on specific products. Some things might be prorated or non-refundable, like domain registrations after a certain period.
